Designed by Ben Peterson, formerly of the HQ in Pleasant Grove, Utah, the Banter takes its name from the video series he helped create during his time there. Even years after his departure, the quality he instilled in those videos remains evident. The Banter was Ben’s collaboration with We Knives, inspired by other folding knives and aimed at being the ultimate EDC (Everyday Carry) tool. We believe he nailed it, as this knife is a remarkable piece that checks all the right boxes. Now, it’s available in a mini version, crafted by We’s sister company to offer even more value for this stellar design.

The Baby Banter is perfectly sized for everyday carry. With a 2.34" blade housed in a compact handle, the overall length comes in just under 5.5 inches. Its wide base offers a solid grip, placing the cutting edge close to your fingers for better leverage. Though its design is simple, featuring a basic wood and stainless steel liner construction, it more than compensates in ergonomics and strength. The Baby Banter is comfortable, sturdy, and reliably gets the job done. Dual thumb studs offer multiple opening methods, and the deep-carry pocket clip supports tip-up, ambidextrous carry. The thumb ramp jimping is highly functional, and the lanyard hole is large enough to accommodate 550-paracord. Ben considered every detail in the Baby Banter, making it a small yet powerful addition to the growing world of EDC knives.
