I ordered the SRK SK5 compact, but there are no stock at the moment, so I chose its brother, SRK SK5 fixed blade, only differ in length and thickness. As expected from Cold Steel knife, the finishing and the performance is great, and also the grip on the handle is also firm, I can use it with full force and battoning is not a problem for a chunk of dry wood, the black coating finishing is superb, and also the paper cutting test also is a success. You can fully control the usage from hardcore to the details work such carving feather stick. The sheath is Secure-ex sheath is perfect, the knife is perfectly enclose still and secure eventhough you do not use the button to secure the handle. Overall is, this knife can do most of the tasks for bushcraft, wet or dry. Salute.
Been eyeing this knife for quite some time and pulled the trigger at the perfect time (and price).. Razor sharp off the box and quite satisfied with the quality (for a knife categorized as budget /entry level)..

Balanced, light, premium and very sharp. If you plan to have only one do-it-all knife, this is the one I would recommend.
This knife is very underrated. So far everything about it is excellent, can be used for light bushcrafting and self-defense. Great as a standby survival knife you can dump in your bag if SHTF.
