    Sharpest thing in the kitchen

Our Morakniv Fishing Comfort Scaler serves as our kitchen knife when we are not outdoors, and my wife says it's the sharpest and comfiest knife she ever had. She says it slices through the toughest meats like melted butter and she never realised there was so much more to blades than the conventional kitchen knives she is accustomed to. Much shorter than a chef's knife, it also becomes easily controllable.

When it is time for resharpening, i only need to lightly run the diamond sharpener over each side four or five times. Then it is unbelievably razor sharp again.

There is but one downside. The kitchen is a wet place. In the the cooking and washing, we don't always remember to thoroughly dry the blade before resheathing. The other day, i saw a bit of rust forming at the point where the blade meets the handle. We missed out drying that spot before resheathing. A bit of autosol took care of it, but I have a feeling this blade will not stay pristine while spending a whole day at sea cutting bait without careful cleaning after each use.

Beyond that, it is a great all purpose knife that has helped me show my wife why I need so many different knives. Hehe...
