NO. IT IS NOT THE SAME.
(You cannot compare myparang to a machete in the local hardware store.)
Myparang's parang is handmade with the modern machine.
It features a specially hardened 5160 carbon steel blades with eco-wood handle from sourced from Croatia.
Why destroy the jungle to enjoy it right?
I own one of the myparang and I enjoy every moment wielding it as it is relatively lightweight and very tough. It seems like a machete that can stand the test of time and serve me and my grandchildren well.

Customers praised this heavy-duty 12" parang as an "excellent tool for gardening" with a blade that "does not dull after continuous cutting thick wood." Shoppers highlighted the "very sharp" blade, ergonomic design, and handmade quality. "Very comfortable in the hand" for heavy chopping work. Some noted minor sharpening burrs. Highly recommended for experienced operators.
I am in Thailand. The transaction was not simple, but the staff here were extremely helpful and got the transaction completed. Delivery was very fast. I love the look of the blade, but the sharpening process had left a burr on one side that was easy to clean up. For a heavy parang I found it very comfortable in the hand. I would recommend anyone looking for a strong chopper this is it.
Very satisfied with the product trusted seller, don't think twice grab yours one now.
Truly handmade master craft parang. High quality product since long wait due to MCO.
Highly recommended.
A heavy duty work knife... it is weight-forward and has power to spare. The handle is fitted well and works great for it's intended chopping grip. The bevel was slightly ground out (thin) in one spot. Overall a great / quality hand made tool... Chops and slices readily. To be proficient, this parang requires time in hand and it is crucial to practice various grips and chopping techniques. I.M.H.O., I believe this Heavy version Parang is for a skilled / experienced operator. And with that said, it is a great joy to use and experience the My Parang - Duku Chandong 12" (Hvy).
Highly recommended, with notations.
Thank You
