The HIZEN, the smallest folder in Rockstead's collection, features a 2.875" YXR7 DLC black mirror finish blade and duralumin handles. The handle scales are held together by only two screws, making disassembly for cleaning straightforward. The blade opens smoothly, and the solid frame lock ensures it stays securely in place.

The impressive mirror finish is achieved through a rigorous process of heat treating and hand-grinding the blade with wet-dry sandpaper in grits ranging from 400 to 2,000. This painstaking process is time-consuming, and once completed, the blade is buffed to perfection. Rockstead’s expertise in this method results in a knife with a stunning finish and an exceptionally sharp edge. Each knife is individually numbered and comes with a certificate of authenticity. With proper care, Rockstead knives are known to maintain their sharpness for 2-3 years.
