The RITSU-ZDP is a sleek, modern fixed-blade knife by Rockstead Knives of Japan. It boasts a full-tang 3.875" ZDP-189 dual convex Honzukuri blade with a mirror polish. The lightweight Micarta handle, made of wood, is complemented by a blue titanium guard, while the index finger guard and spine jimping ensure a firm and secure grip. The knife’s remarkable mirror finish is achieved through an extensive process: the blade is heat-treated and hand-ground through a series of wet-dry sandpapers, progressing from 400 to 2000 grit. This meticulous process is time-consuming, as any imperfections require the blade to be reworked from the previous stage. After grinding, the blade is buffed to a final, flawless finish.

Rockstead’s expertise ensures each knife features an exceptional edge and stunning appearance. Each piece is individually numbered and comes with a certificate of authenticity, packaged in a traditional Japanese cloth bag. With proper care, Rockstead knives are renowned for maintaining their sharpness for 2-3 years.
