Rockstead’s flagship fixed blade, the UN-ZDP, features a 5.5" blade made from ZDP-189 steel clad with VG10 and finished with a stunning mirror polish. Its handle, wrapped in silk cord, is designed to be removable, allowing for easy interchangeability. Achieving the mirror finish requires an intensive process: the blade undergoes heat treatment and is meticulously hand-ground through sandpaper grits of 400, 600, 800, 1200, and 2000. This labor-intensive approach demands precision, as any scratches require a return to the previous step for refinishing. Once the grinding process is complete, the blade is carefully buffed to achieve the final, flawless polish.

Rockstead’s expertise ensures that each knife has a uniquely beautiful finish and a razor-sharp edge. Each knife is individually numbered, comes with a certificate of authenticity, and includes a wooden storage box. With proper care, Rockstead knives are renowned for maintaining a sharp edge for 2–3 years.
